Welcome Aboard!

Contributors

Becoming a contributor is easy!  After looking over the list of things we would like covered, you can either choose a topic from there or come up with your own (including poetry, art, & photos).  Then just send it on in!  (The only stipulation is that if you are sending in a short story of great length (5,000 words +), please queue the editor with a synopsis first, to see if it is suitable for The Tor Stone).

After we receive your submission, it will be looked over to see if it fits our guidelines of accepted works.  Then you should receive an e-mail within a few days stating that it is either not acceptable or has been passed over to the editor-in-chief for final review.  If you have not heard anything within a week, please re-send as it may have not been received.  After the initial e-mail, please be patient.  The editor-in-chief has final say, and it make take a while for her to look it over and give it final approval.  Then we will get back to you and let you know what we need for you to do (mainly give us a short bio for the contributor's notes).  Please remember that by submitting something you give us the right to edit your work.

Feature Writers

If you wish to become a feature writer, after choosing you column topic from the list or coming up with your own, e-mail the editor with the following:

** Full name & date of birth, along with a bit about yourself (why would you like to write for the Tor; have any writing experience?)
** Your topic and an explanation of how you are approaching it, along with your goal for future issues.
** The proposed title of your column.

If you are interested in becoming a feature writer, but are not sure of what to write about or how to go about it, and are not ready to "apply" with the above information, please e-mail me and we can discuss some ideas.

By applying you are agreeing to submit an article for your column in every issue, and to having your work edited.
