| GENERAL We accept submissions of original art, photography, articles, poetry, stories, book reviews, recipes, life stories, crafts, etc. Some of our features include stories about personal growth and paths to the Goddess, herbs and stones, energetic and ritual techniques, and the goddesses of Avalon. Keep in mind when submitting your work that the journal is Avalonian and feminine based. We accept only women's work which must be Goddess related. Since, when working within the Avalonian tradition, we work with the five main goddesses of Avalon (Blodeuwedd, Rhiannon, Cerridwen, Arianrhod, and Branwen), we of course will not accept articles focusing on Brigid or Isis, for example. However, we do accept "general goddess" works. If you are unsure, it is best to queue the editor. This journal's goal is to express all aspects of the female journey through the Mists. Each issue will reflect the prominent energy of that time of year and how our processes of healing and growth as women mirror this endless cycle. The journal comes out on the holy days of Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnassadh, and Samhain. It is important that submissions mirror the times and energies of those days. For example, at Samhain, when we are descending into the dark half of the year, obviously photos or artwork of springtime and stories about light and growth, would not be suited for that issue. Rather they belong at Beltane. For issue dates and deadlines see Submission deadlines.
